About Mole Street Artists

Mole Street Artists was founded in 2011 by Philadelphia-based musicians, Brian LaPann and Brendan Walsh. The duo saw an area of opportunity to raise the bar on the level of live entertainment at private and public events in the Philadelphia region. A regular attendee at some of Philadelphia most premier events, it became clear that there was a desperate need for an updated and more authentic musical experience—no more DJ’s shoved in the corner or goofballs on the microphone.

Now serving clients on a national scale, Mole Street Artists is expanding into New York, Washington D.C., and Los Angeles. Our services include booking weddings, corporate events, hotels and hospitality, private parties and non-profits and our focus is on private event space. Our team of planners, booking agents and production coordinators take care of all the administration and logistics so that the music speaks for itself and the client experience before, during and after the event is exceptional.

The entertainment booking model the founders of Mole Street Artists have created not only creates a better experience for event planners and event hosts, it also empowers regional musicians to support their artistry through income from the private event sector.

Clients and event attendees benefit from hiring fresh, energetic and vibrant professional musicians who aren’t jaded on the churn of the music business. Their energy, passion for their craft and commitment shines through.

For musicians, Mole Street Artists serves to bridge the gap between music and business. Many musicians lack the time, expertise and relationships to book regular well-paying private events on their own. Our team handles all the inquiries and account management while promoting their profile for more opportunity. Without the administrative and marketing burden in place, professional musicians can put their time and energy into practicing, performing, writing and recording.

Brian and Brendan continue to perform regularly, and touch every aspect of the business. From new artist recruitment, to curating event playlists they are constantly aiming to improve how Mole Street Artists can serve the client and the artist to bring out their greatness. The company was named after the street they met on, and continues to host a block party and music festival on Mole Street to this day called Molestice, which sees thousands of people and nationally touring acts.

Alicia DeFillipo | Events Marketing Manager | Philadelphia Magazine

Mole Street Artists did a great job at our WeWork Rooftop Launch Party. They were extremely easy to work with and the music was fantastic. Excited to use them in the future!

Erica

I used Mole Street to book DJ Royale for a 300-person reception at Reading Terminal Market. From start to finish, Mole Street were total pros. Negotiating the contract was a breeze, set-up was a cinch (especially because Mole Street has great relationships with every other vendor in Philly), and DJ Royale was the perfect DJ for the event. The DJ and Mole Street made sure to play a mix of classic hits and new songs that got the crowd dancing, all while keeping the playlist appropriate for our white-collar crowd. Highly recommend them!

Jessica

I have worked with Mole Street for multiple occasions and every time has been a home run! They are professional and always WOW the crowd. Working with them is a no brainer!

Kristen

Blues Junior was fantastic. They had everyone up dancing the entire time. Our crowd absolutely loved them. From start to finish it was evident, Mole Street was passionate about their music. They truly exceeded all expectations.

Michelle

Mole Street Artists never lets us down! We work with the gentlemen at Mole Street every year for some of our largest events in Philadelphia, and their professionalism, timeliness, and the talent of their bands is just incredible. We highly recommend Mole Street — Brendan, Brian, and the rest of the team are top notch to work with!
